Brain Rule #2

Rule #2:  The human brain evolved, too.

At the end of chapter, Medina states that there is no greater anti-brain environment than the classroom.  Do you agree with this statement?  Why or why not?

How do you set up your classroom to create an optimal brain power learning environment?

Brain Rule #1

Exercise Boosts Brain Power

Medina states that the human brain evolved under conditions of almost constant motion and that we learn better if we are moving.  Traditionally classrooms are set up that students come in, sit down and have relatively no movement during class.  If the science supports movement for better brain power, how can teachers incorporate movement into their curriculum, lesson plans and classroom environment?
